Your site has a very simple three-part structure. The site is made of pages, pages are made of groups, and groups are made of sections.
A group is a major area of a page. You can have as many groups as you want. Each group can have it’s own background (made of pictures, colors, or videos) and it’s own settings as needed for layout and sizing.
The actual content for your site comes from sections. A section is an area of content, such as text, an image, a media library, a video, or virtually any type of content you might want on your site. You can add as many sections to a group as you would like, and you can arrange and size them according to your needs.
To add content to your site, click on a page that you would like to modify. Then, hover over the group where you would like to add the content and click the Plus (+) icon to the upper left. This will allow you to add most any type of content you would like.
You will see a list of section types. The most basic is a Plain Text section. Try adding one of these. Then, click on the text once it is added and you will be able to edit the text. Then click “Save Changes” to the left.
Repeat this process to add as many sections as you would like to your content group, and do this for any page you would like to modify.
There are four buttons that appear every time you hover over a Group. Delete Group The red button with the white X in it is the "Delete Group" buton. This will remove the group from the page if you click it and confirm the deletion. Duplicate Group This button which looks like two pages will allow you to copy this group. You can either make a copy on the same page, or you can copy it to another page along with it's content.
Groups are made up of Sections. You can have as many Sections as you want in a Group. To add a section, click the “Plus” icon in the group where you would like to add it, then choose the section type. For more information on each section type, see Content Sections in these instructions. When you hover over a section, you will be presented with several options to the upper right:
Click “Arrange Groups” on the left to change the order of the groups on your page. Cou may also click and drag the inverted “L” bracket to the lower right of each section. This will resize the sections according to your needs. When finished, click “Done Arranging.” NOTE: If you use the three viewport options to the bottom left of your editing menu (desktop, mobile, and tablet), you can save an individual section arrangement for each viewport type.
Clicking Page Settings on the left side menu gives you access to a number of parameters for each page. Page Settings Page Title This is what will appear in the top of the browser tab. It will also be shown to users when they find your page on a search engine. Slug This is the actual web address for the page, appearing after the forward slash (/). For instance, if your web address is myfriendlychurch123.
There are several ways to link to pages from within your webiste. Menus If you hover over your top menu and click Edit Menu, you can add menu items to link to different pages. Title the page, then choose "Existing Page" for a page within your site, and start typing the name of the page in the bottom box. When you see it, click on it and save the menu item, then save the menu.
