Simulcasting to YouTube

To simulcast to YouTube:

  1. Login to your YouTube account.
  2. Click the + icon to the top right to "create" new video, and choose "Go Live."
  3. Select "Stream" to the upper-left.
  4. Title your channel and answer the questions on the YouTube form provided. Note that for a public stream, you will need to specify this. However, you can create a private stream for testing. Click the option to create the stream.
  5. Under the "Select Stream Key" dropdown, choose "Create New Stream Key." Title your stream key whatever you'd like and save it. When creating future streams, always select this one from the list
  6. Copy the "Stream Key" from the bottom of the page (you'll need click the eyeball to "show" it).
  7. Login to your website and go to Administration > Live Streaming. Edit your channel and paste the YouTube stream key in the box provided.
  8. Copy the Stream URL from the YouTube page and paste it in the box provided on your Live Streaming channel settings page. Save your stream channel.
  9. In the YouTube page, enable the "Enable Auto Start" option. This will automatically start your YouTube Live stream when you start publishing your Finalweb stream.
  10. Start streaming to your Finalweb channel. Your YouTube Live stream should now be active. It may take around 30 seconds for the stream to publish after you go live.
