Simulcasting to Facebook
Facebook has some requirements in order to be able to simulcast to them from an external service. Users will need to have a Facebook account that’s at least 60 days old. For creators and businesses using Pages or professional mode for profiles, users will also need at least 100 followers. If your organization doesn’t have 100 followers, you can still stream to a normal personal Facebook profile.
To simulcast to Facebook:
- Login to Facebook using an account that has permissions to publish to your target Facebook timeline.
- Then login to your website.
- Go to Administration > Live Streaming
- Hover over "More" and click "Edit Channel."
- Click the option that says, "To manage your facebook link, you'll need to switch to the development domain."
- In the middle of the page, click the Facebook button to connect to Facebook.
- Follow the onscreen prompts. When prompted to allow something, allow everything.
- After you are done connecting to Facebook, edit your channel again. In the "Publish to:" box, select the page you want to simulcast to.
- Once this is done, every time you start broadcasting, your stream will publish to Facebook as well as your website.
