Editing Basics

Once you sign-up, you’ll find yourself logged-in to the new website editor.

On the left is the editor toolbar and on the right is your website. The buttons on the toolbar will update and change with the context of what you’re editing.

Each page has a live version and a draft version. By default you’re viewing the live version of the page.

  1. Click on Edit Page to start editing your homepage.

You’ll see that the toolbar switches into edit mode and gives you many more options now.

If you look at your website on the right, you’ll notice that your site is organized into sections and groups. They are easily distinguishable and as you move your mouse around the page, they are highlighted.

  • Content Group: A collection of content on your page.
  • Content Section: An individual piece of content within a group such as an image or a video.

Groups can contain as many sections as you want

If you hover over a group, you’ll see that it is highlighted and some editing options appear.

The red X removes the group from the page, and the cog wheel allows you to edit options such as the background of a group. To edit the text in a group, just click the text and start typing. You’ll see the toolbar on the left changes contexts, providing you with a cancel and save button. Just click save changes when you’re finished editing the section.
